Gotur — the Forest Spirit that Preserves Nature’s Balance

What unites Slavs, Celts, Germans, Balts, and Finno-Ugric peoples? It’s the fact that they were forest-dwelling communities, deeply immersed in hunting and gathering! Truly, it was their way of life. And for this very reason, they crafted the finest, most ultimate hunting knives. And since our company is based in Ukraine, let’s proudly speak from the perspective of the Slavs!

Inspired by the forest: the story of the spirit Gotur

There was an old belief that every forest is home to the spirit Gotur. And not just living there — he keeps the balance of nature and guards the woods! If someone entered the forest to cut down trees without reason, Gotur would make them lose their way. But if a person came with pure intentions, he would guide them safely home by the shortest path. It’s a shame this doesn’t seem to work against harvesters, forwarders, logging trucks, and the poachers who use them - otherwise, the Carpathians wouldn’t look so bare today! But oh well. Still, the legend is fascinating! We were so inspired by it that we decided to craft a true forest hunting knife and named it after the forest spirit itself - Gotur.

Design and Materials

This survival knife for forest adventures combines the ancient traditions of forest-dwelling peoples with modern technology:

D2 Blade (60–61 HRC): Sharpness and Reliability

The Gotur features a blade crafted from premium D2 tool steel with a hardness of 60–61 HRC. This high-hardness steel ensures exceptional edge retention, allowing the multifunction camping knife to stay razor-sharp through even the toughest outdoor tasks. Its wear resistance makes it capable of handling repeated cutting, slicing, and carving without significant dulling, while its semi-stainless properties give it excellent corrosion resistance when properly cared for.

Whether you’re chopping wood for a fire, preparing food in the wilderness, or performing precision tasks during bushcraft or survival scenarios, the Gotur’s blade delivers reliable performance every time. The finely ground edge also allows for smooth, precise cuts, giving you full control in any situation. In short, this is a sharp survival knife built to endure, sharpened to perfection, and ready to handle real-world challenges in the field.

Walnut Handle: Comfort and Natural Look

The handle of the Gotur is made from carefully selected walnut wood, known for its strength, durability, and naturally beautiful grain. Each handle is hand-finished to ensure a smooth, comfortable grip, allowing you to use the knife for hiking and outdoor for extended periods without fatigue. The ergonomic shape fits naturally in the hand, providing excellent control whether performing delicate carving or heavy-duty cutting.

The unique texture and pattern of the walnut make each handle one-of-a-kind, so no two knives look exactly the same. Combined with the Micarta and G10 bolster, the walnut handle not only provides natural warmth and aesthetics, but also enhances structural strength, ensuring that this bushcraft survival tool feels solid, balanced, and reliable in any scenario. This combination of beauty and function makes the Gotur as much a pleasure to hold as it is to use.

Micarta + G10 Bolster

The bolster combines Micarta and G10, enhancing the knife's strength, preventing slipping, and adding a modern, technical touch to the traditional design. It is good knife for working with wood.

Leather Sheath with Red Stitching and Laces

The leather sheath with red stitching and laces not only securely holds the knife but also highlights attention to detail and style. High-quality leather ensures durability and a premium look. Hang these sheaths on your belt, and you'll announce yourself as a person of style—no one would dare argue otherwise!

Knife Weight and Balance

This best camping knife is incredibly compact (overall length: 205 mm) and unbelievably lightweight — just 80 grams! You won’t even notice it on your belt, in your backpack, or in your pocket — you’ll only remember it when you truly need it. You’ll especially appreciate this when you’re carrying a lot of gear over many kilometers; every chance to lighten your load becomes a small victory, and this survival knife with strong blade makes that possible. The center of gravity is designed to reduce hand fatigue and allow precise control with every cut.
