DESCRIPTION

Aurora features a VG-10 stainless steel blade (58–59 HRC), a proven Japanese alloy known for long edge retention, clean cuts, and stable performance in everyday and outdoor use. The 80 mm blade length and 3 mm spine provide a balanced mix of precision, control, and confidence in cutting.

The G10 handle is durable, moisture-resistant, and unaffected by temperature changes. Its 98 mm length fits naturally in the hand, ensuring a secure, comfortable grip during both detailed and general tasks.

Built with Full Tang construction, Aurora offers excellent strength and balanced load distribution. It comes with a lightweight Kydex sheath that securely holds the knife, resists moisture, and allows quick access. A lanyard hole improves control and safety.

Aurora is ideal for EDC, camping, hiking, food prep, light woodwork, and active outdoor use — a reliable, versatile knife designed for controlled, practical work.

Key features

The Aurora knife is a fixed blade EDC knife designed as a practical tool for different conditions, where control, predictable performance, and comfort in hand matter most. The knife is not tied to a single scenario and is intended for a calm, steady working rhythm.

Aurora is a compact outdoor fixed blade knife and a universal camping knife, where form and construction are fully subordinated to function.

Design in the style of Finnish traditions
The shape of the Aurora knife corresponds to the classic principles of Finnish puukko. Such a knife is characterized by: a compact blade without a pronounced guard, a straight or slightly convex butt line, a symmetrical handle without protrusions, an orientation towards a working grip and the absence of decorative elements that do not carry a functional load.

Outstanding value for the money! This outdoor tool has excellent fit and finish - crazy sharp and very comfortable in hand. The sheath is heavy-duty and built like a tank. With proper use, this knife should last a long time. I own three BPS knives and am happy with all of them. Simple, strong, no-BS knives at an unbeatable price. If you're on the fence, pick the one that fits your needs - you won't regret it!

I bought a couple of these mainly for the sheath, based on reviews—and they did not disappoint. The sheath alone is worth twice the price! The knife itself is simple, sharp out of the box, lightweight, and very functional. I’ve been using it daily for a week and it performs great. I smoothed out some square edges to my liking, but overall it’s a solid tool. Highly recommend if you want a basic, reliable knife that won’t break the bank. I’ve already picked up a few and plan to get more!

This fits a wide variety of fixed blade knives because the quality of the leather is such that you can easily wet-form to the knife you want to carry in this sheath. Excellent quality! I also like that it means I can support the Ukraine while keeping my knives safe and secure. I have loved all the products I have purchased from BPS and can highly recommend their work!

Frequently Askes Questions

What makes BPS knives different from other knives?

BPS Knives stand out for their quality, functional design, and affordable price. Made in Ukraine, our feature full-tang construction, sharp Scandi grinds, and durable materials like 1066 carbon steel and walnut wood. Designed for real outdoor use, each knife is field-ready, reliable, and built to last.

Do BPS knives require special sharpening techniques?

BPS knives don’t require special sharpening techniques, but they do benefit from using the right method for their grind. Most BPS knives feature a true Scandi grind, which is best sharpened by laying the bevel flat against the stone and maintaining consistent contact across the entire edge — no secondary bevel needed.

For best results:
- Use a whetstone or diamond stone.
- Maintain the original bevel angle (usually around Scandi Scandi20° total).
- Finish with a stropping step to polish and refine the edge.

It’s simple, effective, and easy to maintain even in the field.

Can I return my knife if I’m not satisfied?

Yes, you can exchange your knife within 14 days of purchase if it hasn’t been used and is in its original condition — including packaging and all consumer properties.
